Meet the newest addition to the Matriarca catalog: our Powdered Mirepoix Trio, a clean, single-ingredient take on the classic French flavor base used for centuries to build depth in soups, sauces, and stews. Traditionally made with 50% onion, 25% carrot, and 25% celery, a mirepoix is the foundation of the most iconic sauces in French cuisine—and now you can experience it in its purest, easiest, and cleanest form.
This trio includes: • Dehydrated Carrot Powder — naturally sweet, earthy, and vibrant. • Celery Powder — our runaway bestseller, herbaceous and savory. • Caramelized Onion Powder — another bestseller, deeply sweet with rich umami.
As a chef, I use this powdered mirepoix in all my traditional Mexican dishes in place of MSG-laden bouillon cubes. Together, these three powders bring the savory depth, umami, and warmth you grew up tasting—without preservatives, fillers, or artificial ingredients.
Every powder in this trio is truly single-ingredient: carrot, celery, and onion—just that—dehydrated and bottled. Nothing else. To protect their purity (and to keep them perfectly sprinkle-able), each jar includes a small moisture-absorbing packet, since we refuse to add anti-caking agents.
Sprinkle into soups, beans, stews, sauces, meats, veggies, marinades, or anywhere you want instant depth of flavor. When used together, these three create a clean, elevated alternative to bouillon—and once you cook with them, you’ll never go back.

Absolutely delicious! It took my camarones rancheros to the next level! The caramelized onion really blew my mind-it tasted just like it smells! Que cosas mas deliciosas.
I love all Matriarca products but the celery, carrot and carmalized onion powders are my go to for everything! I literally add it to all my recipes. They totally enhance the flavors of my dishes. Best powders on earth. All the products are the best. I may be a little obsessed!
I have purchased this trio for family members and myself so many times. They are simply amazing! I use this instead of bouillon as well as seasoning on meats. I especially love the caramelized onion under chicken skin. So tasty!
It has been come a staple in our home. My little one (9 year old so not so little anymore) loves to prep her eggs in the morning with all three. The caramelized onion powder is our favorite! I have gifted to my closest friends and of course shared it with my mama too!
From start to finish the order process was simple and easy. Products were carefully packaged and what I appreciated was that the product was filled to the brim with the spices we ordered. Talk about getting what you paid for!
Wonderful spices.
Adds so much depth of flavor to soups, stews, chicken, beef, pork and just about anything.
I have ordered a second time for myself and others as hostess gifts.
I love the Trio of seasoning powders. It gives my dishes great flavor without having to resort to my mom's old school bouillon. I know there are no added fillers and especially no MSG, which trigger my migraines. Thank you Chef Marcela for bringing clean products to us.
These are great seasonings! I've used them with chicken for ench8ladas, tostadas etc. Im pretty sure it'll work well to make a dip with but I haven't tried that yet. Overall these three are pantry ESSENTIALS
Who needs chicken bullion when you have this trio. I’ve been adding it to soups, rice, picadillo and even brined a turkey with it. The uses are endless!!
I mean im calling it fab trio. I dont make many mexican dishes, but these are used so much. In almost every dish. What’s new to me is the Carrot powder. A premium chile oil made with organic chile morita, pistachios, piloncillo, cranberries, garlic, olive oil, and apple cider vinegar. No seed oils. No preservatives. The olive oil base gives it a richness that vegetable oils simply cannot replicate. It is smoky, slightly sweet, crunchy, and goes well with just about everything.
Fresh jalapeños slowly fried at a low temperature in olive oil, with Colima salt. Three ingredients. No seed oils. The result is a crunchy, spicy topping that goes on eggs, avocado toast, pasta, pizza, ceviche, soups, and beans. This year, it was changed to organic jalapeños grown in Mexico.
A chile-lime powder made with hibiscus flower. No preservatives or artificial colors. Its pink-red color comes naturally from the hibiscus. Use it on fruit, jicama, cucumber, mango, chips, cocktail rims, margaritas, popcorn, and yogurt. It is a clean-ingredient alternative to Tajín, without artificial colors.
Masa flour made with landrace corn grown in the Yucatán Peninsula. These are heirloom varieties passed down for generations, non-GMO, and nixtamalized with calcium hydroxide. The white version is made with traditional white corn; the red version is made with chac chob, a red landrace corn that creates tortillas with a deeper flavor and natural brick-red color.
Sea salt harvested by hand in Cuyutlán, Colima, on Mexico’s Pacific coast. No additives, no anti-caking agents, and no industrial processing. It is rich in trace minerals that refined salt loses. It has a clean ocean flavor and a softer finish than conventional table salt. It is mainly used as a finishing salt.
Yes. Matriarca’s Organic Agave has official organic certification. It is made with 100% Blue Weber agave and extracted through a thermal process, never fermentation, which helps preserve the plant’s natural sweetness. It is 30% sweeter than sugar and has a lower glycemic index.
No. No Matriarca product contains artificial preservatives. This has been one of the brand’s non-negotiables since day one.
Moderately. The classic Salsa Macha has a pleasant heat balanced by the sweetness of piloncillo. The Salsa Macha Hot Batch is significantly spicier, with the same premium ingredients and more chile. Chicharrón de Chile has the natural heat of jalapeño. Pica Maica has chile-lime heat. Everything con Chipotle has a mild, smoky spice.
Most Matriarca products are naturally gluten-free, including the masaharinas made with nixtamalized corn, powders, salt, agave, and salsas. Always check the label to confirm based on your specific needs.
Store it at room temperature before opening. Once opened, refrigeration is recommended to maintain freshness, although olive oil acts as a natural preservative.
